Western Australia - Branch President Elect

The International Coaching Federation (ICF) is the global organisation for coaches and coaching. Opportunities exist at both the Branch, Chapter and Global levels to become involved with ICF and help advance its mission, vision, and values.

Leadership positions in the ICF Australasia Charter Chapter perform a significant role in creating and building ICF capability and institutional knowledge. They provide Chapter wide strategic leadership of the highest quality that contributes to an effective and cohesive ICF.

Applications are now open for the position of Western Australia Branch President to start as President Elect in 2026 and transition into President in July 2026.

The role of Branch President involves a range of responsibilities, including.

· maintaining ethics, accountability, and appropriate levels of confidentiality and ensuring ICF policy and procedures and adhered to;

·     ability and willingness to uphold the vision, mission, and strategy of the Board of the ICF Australasia Charter Chapter;

·      collaborating with the Board and the ELT members;

·        representing the Branch on the Australasia Charter Chapter Executive Leadership Team;

·        holding and documenting regular Branch Leadership Team Meetings;

·        representing the ICF to key stakeholders;

·        leading, planning, and promoting social and education events; and

·        succession planning on the Branch Leadership Team.

Branch Presidents serve for up to two years.

To be eligible for Branch President in the Australasia Charter Chapter a person must.

  • Be over 18 years of age.
  • Be a financial ICF member.
  • Be in good standing with ICF and the wider community.
  • Hold an ICF credential (ACC, PCC, MCC) and maintain that credential – or gain a new level of credential – throughout tenure as Branch President or President Elect.
  • Demonstrate the ability and willingness to uphold ICF values, ethics, and the Charter Chapter’s strategy and accept direction from the ICF Australasia Charter Chapter Board.

How to apply

Applicants should submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) by completing the form attached: Expression of Interest - ICF Branch President 2027/2028 – Fill in form

before 12 noon AEST time on 20 February 2026.

Applicants could address the following in their written EOI.

  • Their vision for ICF Australasia, and potential contribution as Branch President and member of the Executive Leadership Team;
  • an overview of their coaching work explaining how it fits into overall professional practice;
  • professional background and experience outside coaching (including any key responsibilities and outcomes);
  • prior involvement with the ICF Australasia coaching community including previous leadership team roles;
  • strengths and talents;
  • any other information that would support an application for Branch President; and
  • the names and contact details of two referees.

Applicants can also send through a CV to admin@icfaustralasia.com with the title - EOI Branch President.

Applicants should expect a short interview. A current Board member and a current Branch President would conduct the interview.

Either or both referees may be contacted as part of the process. This could occur prior to or following the interview.

A written recommendation will be presented to the Board of the ICF Australasia Charter Chapter for approval.

Once selected, the successful applicant assumes the position of President-Elect in the Branch (the timing of progression to President is decided by the Branch Leadership Team).
