ICF Australasia is a nonprofit membership organisation led by a member-elected voluntary Board of Directors. Because of the vast geography from New Zealand through Australia, the Chapter is organised into Branches to support its members. Each ICF Australasia Branch is managed by a voluntary leadership team.
When you join ICF you have the opportunity to affiliate with ICF Australasia and your local Branch. Return to your membership record at www.coachfederation.org to update your Chapter Affiliation.
When you join ICF (all memberships processed through ICF Headquarters in the USA), you are able to affiliate with your local Charter Chapter.
To affiliate with ICF Australasia choose “Edit Profile”, “My Chapter Affiliation” then pick “ICF Australasia and your local Branch” from the drop down list and click Save.
Your annual ICF membership fee includes affiliation with ICF Australasia Chapter. Some other Chapters charge an additional fee.
Member databases are separate and do not sync. When you join ICF your membership will be added to the ICF Australasia member database and mailing lists. This may take a few weeks.
A full membership year is 1 April to 31 March and costs USD245. Fees are prorated for members who join within this time period.
ICF memberships are processed by Headquarters in the United States. Membership fees are payable to the International Coaching Federation in USD.
Members can affiliate with one Chapter and one Branch within ICF Australasia.
If your membership lapsed after the grace period of the current year, you can still renew until 31 December of the current renewal year.
If your membership lapsed the year before the current membership period, please rejoin.
ICF accredits and approves coach training programs and as such cannot recommend programs.
Accreditation of a coach training school by ICF is a different and separate process to a program being assessed as providing a recognised qualification. Please check with ICF for program accreditation.
A download is available here which outlines the questions you should ask when choosing a training provider and program.
At ICF, coaching training programs are Accredited while individuals are Credentialed. ICF’s Accreditation service for coach-training schools defines curriculum standards to ensure consistency in coach-training programs and consistency among coaching professionals.
ICF Credentials are awarded to professional coaches who have met stringent education and experience requirements, and have demonstrated mastery of the coaching competencies.
Please refer to the ICF membership eligibility requirements to ensure the coach training you have completed.
