For our Virtual Coach Connect in July 2026, we have our president Romy Schirrmeister, ACC exploring what helps people truly “get” professional coaching.
Many of us have probably experienced moments where people ask: “What do you actually do as a coach?” or "How does coaching actually help people?". And even if we do a good job at explaining it, it can still feel hard for people to understand it, especially if they are new to coaching.
In this session, we’d like to create some space to reflect together on what might sit behind this, what we notice in conversations with others about professional coaching, and what seems to help people genuinely understand its value and impact.
This is not about finding the perfect definition or sales pitch. Instead, it’s an opportunity to share experiences, challenges, observations, and ideas with fellow ICF coaches, and to explore how we can communicate about professional coaching in ways that feel clear, relatable, and authentic to us.
This will be an interactive session so come prepared to be engaged.
About Virtual Coach Connect:
We know New Zealand has a special topography, and as many spaces as we have coaches serving in different areas. Because of this logistical intricacy our number one priority is to connect the ICF coaching community across Aotearoa.
Each month there will be different subjects shared related to the business and art of coaching with an opportunity to discuss those subjects with people passionate about coaching.
Come along, as this is a chance to meet and connect, and create a coach community you want to be part of.
Please note, these events are not recorded and therefore no replays are available.
