In September this year, the ICF announced some small but significant refinements to the Core Competencies – the last time they did this kind of analysis was 2019. Whilst the competencies themselves haven’t’ changed, there are new sub-categories, wording and other nuances which reflect how coaching practice has evolved since 2019, and what it means to be a [human] coach in 2025 and beyond. These changes bring increased clarity and depth to coach development, and as such brings into focus, how coaches can differentiate themselves in the future.
This session is for anyone at any stage of their journey as a coach and who would like to join an interactive session to learn more about these changes and how to prepare themselves for the coming year and beyond. Jacqui Ferris is our host and is also ICF Australia’s recently appointed Director of Coach Development. With insights gathered from colleagues in here and overseas, she’ll facilitate a session designed to seek your thoughts and insights on what these changes might mean to you and will share hers on how you can best ensure that your next coach training & supervision investment, is reflecting these updates. There will be break out sessions, polls and ability to ask questions.
Jacqui Ferris holds the MCC & the ACTC from the ICF and a Masters in Coaching Psychology from the University of Sydney, as well as the Professional Certificate in Systemic Supervision from BMC.
She is the Managing Director of PerformanceHQ [https://www.performancehq.com.au/], is a practicing Executive & Team coach and Supervisor.
