The International Coaching Federation (ICF) Code of Ethics sits at the heart of professional coaching practice. The Code provides the ethical standards and guiding principles that help coaches create safe, respectful, and trustworthy coaching relationships with clients, sponsors, and colleagues.
As coaches, our impact goes beyond the conversations we facilitate. We hold a position of trust, and the way we conduct ourselves—our integrity, confidentiality, professional boundaries, and commitment to client wellbeing—shapes the credibility of the coaching profession as a whole.
The goal is not just to understand the Code, but to strengthen our ethical awareness and decision-making as professional coaches. By the end of the session, you will have greater clarity about your ethical responsibilities, increased confidence in navigating ethical dilemmas, and a deeper appreciation for how ethical practice supports powerful, effective coaching.
