Peer Coach Drop-In | Session 2: Embodies a Coaching Mindset Session

This is a member only series.

In response to member feedback, high past attendance and popular demand, we are excited to bring you the 2026 Peer Coach Drop-In.

Available to ICF members only, this is one of eight monthly sessions from February to October 2026 (excluding May). These sessions are designed as stand-alone events so you can attend one or, preferably, all eight.

Historically led by the Southern States branch, this year the 2026 member series will be rotated between the various branches within the Australasia network and delivered with a mix of facilitators within the ICF volunteer network.

This series provides monthly opportunities throughout February to October 2026 to practice your coaching with a peer, accumulate ‘paid’ coaching experience hours and/or CCEUs to go towards your ICF credential applications and renewal, and to develop your coach observation and feedback capability.

You will work with a randomly selected coach peer in this session in which you will both practice your coaching for *30 minutes each on a real-life scenario. Please give some thought to the topic you would like to bring to coaching to maximise the learning and growth benefit for all attendees.

*In the event we have an odd number of attendees, this may be revised to be 20mins

These sessions are designed as stand-alone events so you can attend one or, preferably, all eight.

In each session you will be invited to focus your practice on various components from the ICF Core Competency Model which provide a vital foundation for the coaching profession (The Gold Standard in Coaching | ICF - Core Competencies (coachingfederation.org)). These competencies and the ICF definition of coaching serve as the foundation of the Credential process, including the ICF Credentialing Exam. Each competency is considered core and critical for any competent coach to demonstrate.

Session 1: Demonstrates Ethical Practice Session 2: Embodies a Coaching Mindset Session 3: Establishes and Maintains Agreements Session 4: Cultivates Trust and Safety Session 5: Maintains Presence Session 6: Listens Actively Session 7: Evokes Awareness Session 8: Facilitates Client Growth

**Please note, these sessions are timebound and attract CCEUs. As such, the session will be closed 5 minutes after the commencement time. Late entry will be denied as we will quickly move into the learning concepts and competency exploration before we coordinate pairing attendees ready for coaching practice.
