Our world is changing and more and more work is being conducted ‘on-line’. Yes there are changes and, yes, it is different, but, no, we are still human and the same principles of human communication apply.
It means there is greater emphasis on voice instead of body. As a consequence vocal mannerisms can be magnified and more annoying, but at the same time there is more vocal opportunity.
Whether you have a zoom or auditory alone, with a diminution of visual stimulus it time to help guide the thinking and attention of the listener. It is easier to do if you follow simple rules. When we lose one sense it is time to really develop another. This is a fresh opportunity.
