Tony Latimer MCC presents: "Getting the Corporate Dollar"

The world of coaching is full of gurus and experts with advice on how to “market” yourself. The implication is that you don’t have to “sell”. The reality is, if you want to tap into the Corporate Dollar, you have to sell. Selling tends to be one of the greatest fears for independent coaches. In this presentation, Tony will talk about the need for selling to get into corporate deals, the payback and benefits of getting into corporates and how your service offerings can be structured to make it easier. He also shares highlights of his 9 Actions® of Really Big Impact Selling and dispels the myths around the sales process.

Tony has an extensive background in international corporate sales. He developed The 9 Actions® as a behavioural framework to enable the teaching of sales in any country, product, service or market. This has been proven in every industry from professional services, private banking, commercial sales, right down to second-hand car sales. This presentation (approximately 75 mins) is $30 for ICF members and $40 for non-members. This presentation is $30 for ICF members and $40 for non-members

Geoffrey Abbott Phd presents: "Coaching and the Global Virtual World"

Internationally, coaching clients are increasingly presenting with issues related to setting up, managing, or participating in virtual teams, often across borders. Coaching itself is grappling with how to work effectively in the global virtual environment. Many coaches are part of Global Virtual Teams (GVTs). (A solid text is Lipnack & Stamps (2000) Virtual Teams. Appropriately, the book is available in PDF free and online at www.virtualteams.com.) However, very little has been written for coaches on how to coach people who work virtually, (e.g., how coaching approaches might be applied in managing a virtual team, or how to explore key issues related to GVTs).

This session draws on outcomes from a Coaching GVTs action research project conducted by Geoffrey Abbott with participants in the 2008 Coaching Across Cultures seminar in Sydney, held in 18-20 March 2008 with global coaching pioneer, Philippe Rosinski.

Geoffrey Abbott, PhD, is an executive coach, author, conference presenter, lecturer and coach-trainer, specialising in international dimensions of coaching. He is an Associate with the Institute of Executive Coaching, Australia, and Faculty Team Leader of the Behavioral Coaching Institute, and an Adjunct at the Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Sydney.

Geoff delivers advanced coaching training courses in Europe, the Americas and Australasia. Geoff’s academic background is mainly in organizational psychology. He has a PhD in Business from the Australian National University. Geoff has written chapters and journal articles on a range of issues relevant to management and coaching. He is an active member of the ICF. This presentation is $30 for ICF members and $40 for non-members

Christian Mickelsen presents: How to Get a Rush of Clients to Hire You This Month!

These strategies work especially well if you've been in business for 6 months or longer because all of your normal marketing has laid the foundation for this surge of new clients and new revenue. Now...

When you learn what I'm going to reveal at this event, you'll be able to find a lot of "low hanging fruit" AKA: clients that are ready to work with you and ready to hire you, that you didn't realise were waiting to be "plucked". They can start getting your help and you can start earning more money.

During This Powerful, Content Rich Tele-Class, You'll Discover...

  • The #1 BIG mistake most people make with their marketing that they don't even realize and the fast fix that will turn this around immediately (this big mistake is going to make you do the V-8 head-slap, but you'll leave the event already in action on the turn around and you'll start getting new clients from this from it within the next 30 days—maybe even in the next 7 days)
  • How to get potential clients excited to have a meeting with you so that they can hire you (there's a 3 step formula that will get potential clients lining up to talk to you—in fact, if you have a prospect data-base/email list of more than 2,000 potential clients, then you'll want to use this strategy with caution because the response might be too overwhelming for you to handle).
  • How to talk to potential clients so that they will want to hire you—right on the spot. I'm going to share a process that I developed called "Free Sessions That Sell" that will double or triple your enrollment rate while creating dramatic value for your potential clients at the same time. (They'll love you even if they don't hire you, but most of them will hire you immediately). I'll also share...
  • A few key "magic" phrases that make potential clients feel safe while moving them closer to the sale (this eliminates pressure from the sales process so that they can make a clean and clear decision) Finally...
  • We'll do a demonstration of the client enrollment process so that you can see it (and the "magic phrases") in action and get them into your "bones" so you can start using this process with potential new clients right away.

Peter Webb presents: Coaching for Wisdom

Now, more than ever, our collective fate rests in the hands of leaders who decide and act either wisely or foolishly! The highest purpose for coaching must surely be to enhance the wisdom of leadership in our business institutions, our governments, our communities, and in our own lives. Leadership Coach Psychologist Peter Webb reviews the wisdom literature and how he is applying this work in his coaching practice. He shares his passionate belief in the urgent need for wiser leaders to address the challenging issues of our time and offers two models coaches can use to bring forth greater wisdom in their clients.

Miranda Banks presents:"Fitter, Faster, Stronger, Smarter"—Performance psychology for performance coaching.

Performance psychology in sport or business aims to enhance performance through maximizing an individual or team's consistency and efficiency through alignment of all relevant performance “forces”. “Fitter, Faster, Stronger, Smarter” is a process developed through working in professional and elite sport and adapted for the field of corporate and life coaching. This presentation will outline this process as well as cases for application that have been taken from both sporting and corporate contexts. Performance psychology philosophy is “compete to win”—though the “win” might represent inter—or intra-achievement. Performance psychology assumes a mindset that wishes to excel.

Participants will emerge with a succinct and replicable process for performance enhancement, some reminders to themselves of foundation principles for high performance as well as key tools and strategies that can be applied to their clients or to themselves.

Dynamic and insightful, Miranda Banks is a registered performance psychologist who has worked in professional and elite sport for the last ten years in Australia. Clients have included Australian Rugby, Australian Institute of Sport, Cricket Australia, Queensland Cricket, Queensland Firebirds, Brisbane Broncos and Sport & Recreation Queensland. Based on her experience in sport, she adapted these principles to coaching senior corporate management and last year John Wiley published her first book, "Fitter, Faster, Stronger, Smarter. Training for the performance of life." She has lectured at Queensland University of Technology for six years and has been the resident psychologist for Brisbane’s radio 4BC for three years. She is currently establishing her performance psychology business in the UK and negotiating for her second book. This presentation is $30 for ICF members and $40 for non-members.

Bobbie Burdett and Jim Strohecke presents: The Wellness Holographic Change Process—A Whole-Person Approach to Coaching

The Wellness Holographic Change Process is an integrated whole-person model for personal and professional well-being that can be used effectively by international coaches. Using the Wellness Wheel and Wellness Energy System as a centerpiece and organizing principle, we look at 12 dimensions of wellness, readiness for change, and effective means to create sustainable lifestyle change. The process is transformative and enjoyable.

  • Participants will emerge with the following:
  • An understanding of a whole-person model of wellness
  • Introduction to a personal exploration of their own lives through the organizing principles of the Wellness Wheel and the Wellness Energy System
  • A tool to help clients focus on the areas they are most motivated to change
  • Introduction to the Holographic Change Process which is an effective way of looking at how people change
  •

    Julie Walker: Conflict Coaching

In this event you will be exploring the CINERGY Model of Conflict Coaching. This model brings together key principles of coaching (underpinned by the philosophy of the ICF) and alternative dispute resolution. In conflict coaching, coachees are guided through a process which encourages them to deal with internal or external conflict and disputes by setting their own goals, gaining insights into their own and the other person (s)' contribution to the situation and determining, and, if appropriate, rehearsing how they will manage it more effectively. Julie will be focussing on how this model is being applied in workplaces, with examples of specific situations and their outcomes.

      The session will give you:

    • An introduction to a speciality model of coaching
    • A developed understanding of what is proving to be a highly effective way of assisting people through coaching to improve or enhance their conflict management skills
    • Discussions of case studies in which this model has been applied
    • The opportunity to ask questions in relation to this model of coaching.
    • Kathryn Britton: Actions That Anyone Can Take

In the face of hard economic times, some workforces are responding with resilience and innovation. How do they do this? It?s not by leaving workplace conditions in the hands of executives. Nor is it by blindly thinking positively. The answer arises from empirical research on attitudes and behaviours that lead to positive workplaces.

While necessarily a high-level overview, this talk will focus on actions that anyone can take to find work more meaningful and personally rewarding.

Participants will take away at least 3 ideas for helping their clients take charge of their own workplace satisfaction, such as how to respond resiliently to setbacks; how to enhance and use positive emotion; and how to become more deeply engaged in what they do.
