Membership Categories

Below are the new ICF Membership categories commencing April 1, 2008.

ICF Credentialed Member

Description:
This is the level of ICF membership reserved for the Professional Coach who has met the training and experience standards established by the ICF and who holds the ACC, PCC or MCC.

Example:
Any ICF Credentialed Coach.

Requirement:
Currently holds the ACC, PCC or MCC credential designation, and agrees to abide by the ICF Code of Ethics and the Ethical Conduct Review Process.

Professional Designation:
ACC, PCC or MCC, ICF Credentialed Coach.

Benefits:

1. Eligible for membership in a local ICF Chapter;
2. Full voting rights;
3. Profile included in the ICF Coach Referral Service (CRS) and eligible to respond to CRS postings: included as part of the membership fee;
4. Use of the ICF Credential logo in their materials and Web site;
5. Predominately featured in our branding communications to the public/media; and
6. Eligible for all Leadership positions in the ICF including Global Committees and task forces as well as Local/Regional Chapter Leader positions.

ICF Member

Individuals who are actively (for example 50% of their time) involved and committed to professional coaching, teaching coaching or coaching research.

Description:
ICF Members, individuals who are actively (for example 50% of their time) involved in professional coaching, teaching coaching or coaching research. Individuals are committed to ongoing professional development.

Example:
Any ICF Member Coach.

Requirement:
Agrees to abide by the ICF Code of Ethics and the Ethical Conduct Review Process.

Professional Designation:
ICF Member Coach.

Benefits:

1. Eligible for membership in a local ICF Chapter, including voting rights on issues regarding local ICF Chapter;
2. May use the ICF member logo and other promotional materials that will be made available by the ICF;
3. Referenced in our branding communications to the public/media as appropriate;
4. Eligible for serving on the ICF Global Committees and task forces; and
5. Eligible for Local/Regional Chapter Leader positions.
