Corporate Coaching Symposium 2007
2 October, Sofitel Melbourne
Coaching is rapidly becoming the leadership development tool of choice, with executives, managers and human resource managers endorsing its value. The investment made by organisations committed to coaching is considerable. Yet how do we know the impact, successful outcomes or ROI of coaching - this information still seems to be elusive.
This Corporate Coaching Symposium will help leaders, managers, human resource professionals, business people and coaches explore the place of coaching in building successful organisations for the future.

John will talk about how he, in his role as Chief Executive of WorkSafe Victoria, headed up the design and delivery of change management programs to bring about renewal within his organisation.
This need for this change was driven by the results of an external Review of the organisation. In order for the organisation to achieve the outcomes of the Review and benefit the community, a transformational change was required in culture, competencies and behaviours.
Key to driving these cultural and behavioural changes was the need for effective leadership of the overall program. John will also talk about how the engagement of a personal coach assisted him personally to lead this project to a most successful outcome.

Corporate Leadership Discussion
If the value of coaching is so intangible and unquantifiable, how can it have such wide support? What do executives and managers draw from their coaching experience? What is their perspective on coaching as a tool to move their organizations into the future?
Ian Hamilton, Director Talent Management Asia Pacific for Cisco Systems and Jenny Brett, Leader, People & Organisational Development for the National Australia Bank, both bring extensive experience and a broad perspective to their view of coaching.
Facilitated by Barbara Jones, Head of Leadership Coaching, Asia Pacific region, Right Management, they will explore coaching within their organisations, sharing their views on the value of coaching and how it can bring about the broader change necessary for taking their leaders and their companies into the future.
