An Invitation to Join the ICF

ICF Membership opens up a world of opportunity for professional development, networking and leadership from the local to global level.

What is Coaching?

Coaching is an ongoing relationship which focuses on clients taking action toward the realisation of their visions, goals or desires. Coaching uses a process of inquiry and personal discovery to build the client's level of awareness and responsibility and provides the client with structure, support and feedback. The coaching process helps clients both define and achieve professional and personal goals faster and with more ease than would be possible otherwise.

Background

Founded in 1995, ICF is an international body with its global office in the USA. As at May 2012, ICF has over 20,000 members worldwide. ICF is a non-profit virtual organisation with board members, staff, volunteers and members all over the world.

In order to better service the needs of ICF members in this region, ICF Australasia was formed as a regional chapter of ICF. In order to be a recognised association within Australasia, ICF Australasia was made an Incorporated Association in April 1999. In November 1999, ICF Australasia members undertook the role of voting in our inaugural Board.

A further milestone was created when ICF Australasia employed the services of Fiona Toy and her team at Virtual Admin Solutions to become the ‘face ’of ICF for Australasia based members. This became the first ICF Australasia Sydney-based office.

Membership enquiries can be made directly to ICF Australasia Admin office on +61 2 4337 5682 or by emailing us. As at May 2012 we have around 1200 ICF members who reside in our region.
